In April 2003 "Chopin-Desire for Love" won Platinum, the highest award, for the Best Drama, as well as the Gold for the Best Cinematography at the Houston Film Festival.
Danuta Stanka won the Polish Eagle, equivalent to the Academy Award for her role as George Sand. She also received The Golden Duck Award voted on by the public
